How it works
On the way from Alanya we stop at the Manavgat waterfall on its broad river. Then a walk through ancient Side: we enter through the old gates and the colonnade, look at the agora and the 15,000-seat amphitheatre, and come out at the city's signature view — the Temple of Apollo on the headland, at its best in the sunset light. Free time on the seafront for coffee and shopping. The town market runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The Temple of Apollo at sunset is the most photogenic place I have seen in Turkey. The amphitheatre is huge, and on the way we stopped at the Manavgat waterfall. The free time on the seafront was pleasant.
