How it works
We meet at Hadrian's Gate and sit down to a full Turkish breakfast (kahvaltı) in a family café in Kaleiçi: menemen, cheeses, olives, honey with clotted cream, fresh simit and unlimited tea. Then a walk through the old-town lanes to the spice market, where the guide introduces you to the traders, offers tastings of lokum, fruit pastille, baklava and spices, and tells you what is genuinely worth taking home. We finish with Turkish coffee brewed on sand. The tour is on foot and unhurried.

Reviews
July 2026
Breakfast is a proper feast: menemen, cheeses, olives, endless tea. Then the guide took us round the spice market, let us taste lokum and baklava and showed us the non-touristy spots. We left full and happy.

Tasty and warm-hearted, and the coffee on sand is a treat in itself. The transfer is not included, we made our own way to Hadrian's Gate — bear that in mind.
